As a winegrower, our first job is to grow the vines in order to develop the Champagne.
Our permanent concern to acquire the best soils (only in Premiers and Grands Crus (the best vineyards)), to select the best seedlings and to work out the soil in the most natural way (grassing, ploughing, humus dressing, etc…) allows to optimize the quality of our grapes exclusively handpicked.
Our vineyard, located along several territorial divisions Ay (Grand Cru), Dizy, Hautvillers and Cumières (Premiers Crus) enables us to harvest a grape of an exceptional quality conveying to our production a subtlety and an incomparable flavour.
After a slow pressing and a production in stainless tanks prior to the assemblage, the second fermentation is made in bottles .They are kept at least during three years on sediments in our ancient cellars dug by hand.
Affiliated to the Regional Federation of independent Winegrowers in Champagne, we guarantee you the authenticity of our products .
We buy no wine, no grapes and none of the operation is performed in a cooperative.
From the work of our vines (exclusively from our vines) to the final bottle, everything is performed on the estate.
The Champagne house Alain Bernard, a family business since 1912, is located in Dizy, a village in the heart of the Marne department, a stone's throw from Epernay, the world capital city of Champagne.
Our shared passion, enhanced by a slow apprenticeship at our parents’ side is the guarantee of a family know-how and is enriched by new experiences on a daily basis.
Patience, self-discipline and respect of the traditional methods are the values adopted by us over the time.
We would be pleased to welcome you in our cellars where you could enjoy all the care given to our wines. Discover our know-how and our vintage by visiting our website. Enjoy it.
